About the index
The GPU market index combines the prices of tracked models into one curve: are GPUs becoming more or less expensive overall? The base is 100. A reading of 105 means a 5% increase since the base date; 95 means a 5% decrease.
Think of the basket as one unit of each model. The index tracks changes in their combined purchase cost, using published median asking prices. Higher-priced models have more influence. The three price bands below help show where the overall movement comes from.

Entry GPU index
For a first build, a limited budget or an upgrade to an older system, entry GPU prices are closer to the cost you will actually pay. Following this band shows whether lower-budget options are becoming cheaper and whether broad market movements also reach entry prices.
This index groups models by their first valid quote, below CNY 6,000. It currently contains 11 models and accounts for 4% of the GPU market index weight.
Mainstream GPU index
When you are increasing your budget and balancing memory capacity against performance, the mainstream GPU index tracks the cost of that middle price range. Comparing it with the overall market and the other bands shows whether this part of your upgrade budget is moving with the market.
This index groups models by their first valid quote, from CNY 6,000 to below CNY 20,000. It currently contains 13 models and accounts for 14.7% of the GPU market index weight.
Flagship GPU index
Flagship GPUs require a larger outlay, so price movements matter more to high-budget builds and workstation upgrades. Expensive models also carry more weight in the overall index. This band helps track their purchase cost and understand whether flagship prices are driving the market.
This index groups models by their first valid quote, at least CNY 20,000. It currently contains 18 models and accounts for 81.3% of the GPU market index weight.
FAQ
Is this the average price of a GPU?
No. Index points have no currency unit; they measure changes relative to the base date. A reading of 101 does not mean every GPU rose by 1%. Visit a GPU detail page for the price of a specific model.
Does changing the chart range change the reported returns?
No. The 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day figures compare the latest observation with the observation exactly that far back. The full-period figure compares it with the base. Changing the visible range does not reset the base or the reported returns.
Why do some figures show a dash?
A comparison is left empty when its required historical observation is missing. For example, fewer than 30 days of history cannot produce a 30-day change. A market with no valid history shows an empty chart; data from another market is never substituted.
Where do the prices come from, and how often do they update?
Each market uses its own published median listing prices, updated every 6 hours. These are asking prices, not completed sales. A model without a new valid quote keeps its last price. Adding a model alone is not counted as a price increase.
How are the price bands defined?
Each model joins a band at its first valid published price. Later price changes do not move it between bands. Thresholds are fixed in each market’s native currency and do not change with the display currency. Weight is the band’s share of total basket cost, not its share of model count.
