Does it cost anything?
No. It's free once you sign up.
Do I need an API key?
Not always. For tools that accept a header, a key is the easiest way. Connectors in Claude (web and desktop) and ChatGPT can't take a key: paste the server URL, sign in to VRAMGlass and click Allow.
Is it safe to give my key to an AI?
The key can only read public price and spec data. It can't see your email, price alerts or watchlist, and it can't change your account. If you're unsure or it leaks, revoke it under Your account → MCP connections and it stops working within 30 seconds.
How often is the data updated?
Prices update every 6 hours. They are median asking prices of active listings, not sold prices.
How is this different from using the website?
The data is exactly the same. The difference is that the AI looks things up and compares for you, tailors its advice to what you need, and links back to the source pages on the site.
Which AI tools work with it?
Any tool that supports remote MCP servers, such as Grok Bot, Muse, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor; Claude and ChatGPT connect through OAuth sign-in. See the setup guide for how to connect each one.
