Good fit
- Running 27B to 31B models at 4-bit on one card with long context
Qwen3.8 27B can reach about 250K, and Gemma 4 31B about 168K
- Running 27B models at 8-bit
Qwen3.8 27B at 8-bit runs at about 23 tokens/s with up to about 63K of context
- Limited system power and cooling
200W, a single 16-pin power connector, and a blower that exhausts hot air out of the case
Not a good fit
- Generation speed is your priority
It runs the same model about as fast as a used RTX 3090
- Running 31B and 35B models at 8-bit
Gemma 4 31B at 8-bit doesn't fit, and Qwen3.6 35B A3B at 8-bit has to borrow system RAM
- Splitting one card across several services
There is no MIG, so you would need the PRO 5000
Before you buy
The server edition has different specs
The similarly named RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition also has 32GB, but it is a passively cooled single-slot card at 165W, with 10% less bandwidth and no video outputs, and it can only go in a server. In listings, look for the Workstation Edition, or a version with a blower fan.
Four cards at full load draw only 800W
It draws 200W at full load, just over a third of a 5090, from a single 16-pin connector. It is dual-slot and about 267 mm long, and its blower exhausts air through the bracket; even with four side by side at full load, the GPUs draw only 800W in total.
Compute figures await official confirmation
Neither NVIDIA's nor PNY's spec pages list this card's AI compute. Our BF16 and FP8 figures are derived from third-party compilations, which disagree with each other, so treat them only as a reference. Generation speed is estimated from bandwidth alone and isn't affected.
